I remember going to Brussels to talk to Peter Fatelnig because I heard he was working on something big and new, a program built for bold ideas.

🤩 I had such a bold idea then, and I still do.

✨It meant turning the passport into a physical device that would gradually take on more mobile phone features and an IoT controller, speaking of managing your smart (body, home, car, city) devices and features.✨

IoT is the hands and feet of AI. Finally, devices need a security minimum to go to market. It is an essential first step, but more is necessary.

That is not here yet, but I do think that with our two NGI Policy CSA's, MOVE and FORWARD, we were essential in sketching and defining the issue of building a third EU way between China and the US and identifying early the problems and challenges that were solidified in the Cybersecurity and AI Act.

In the latter, we focused on fairness and trustworthiness as key enablers; in the former, we focused on the security of IoT devices and identified the right spot where this could be checked at the CE Mark moment that tests for compliance with electricity standards.
