The NGI Commons initiative is working on a long-term strategy to support Digital Commons, and your input is essential!

By participating in this project, you can help map past policy efforts that have contributed to Digital Commons, providing valuable insights for the future.

The initiative will identify and categorise various policy tools, funding sources, and strategies for supporting Digital Commons, such as open-source software, open data, and open knowledge. This will help highlight past efforts' successes and gaps, guiding future policies to benefit the public and promote innovation.

The policy mapping report will review European and national digital policies over the last 20 years, focusing on how they’ve supported Digital Commons. It will also connect to international efforts, like those in the US and the United Nations.
