What happened in the 7th Open Call?

The project NGI Assure, co-funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme has just published the results of its 7th open call for Research and Development projects.Individuals and entities were able to submit any idea based on building blocks that contribute to providing technical assurances to make the Internet more trustworthy and secure.

The NGI Assure seventh open call was running for two months, from the 1st December 2021 to the 1st February 2022.

A total of 77 projects proposals originating from 32 countries were received for this call, and after an evaluation process and legal check, 12 projects were selected for funding for a total amount of € 465,316, that will be distributed among the granted projects depending on the requested amount. The verage amount allocated to the projects is € 37 690).

Besides, all twelve beneficiaries can access a business and technical support programme, lasting from 6 to 12 months.

What is NGI Assure?

The goal of NGI Assure is to support projects that design and engineer reusable building blocks for the Next Generation Internet, as part of a complete, strong chain of assurances for all stakeholders regarding the source and integrity of identities, identifiers, data, cyberphysical systems, service components and processes.
