NGI Forum 2025: Event Highlights

Thanks to everyone who joined us at NGI Forum 2025, our flagship event where Europe’s digital future was front and centre.

The event was a big milestone: moving from next-gen internet research to actually deploying an Open Internet Stack for Europe.

Held in Brussels on June 19–20, the Forum brought together over 200 people on-site, including policymakers, researchers, tech experts, and digital rights advocates for engaging discussions and hands-on collaboration around digital sovereignty, infrastructure, and commons.

Impact Stories hosted a dedicated session at the NGI Forum, during which innovative projects were showcased through presentations highlighting their key milestones and societal impact. Participants included Decidim, Rosenpass, Cryptpad, Taler, and Mastodon, each demonstrating their significant contributions supported by the NGI initiative.
