As you already know we were at IoT week, it was a great opportunity to meet with key internet and innovation stakeholders like DIHs, corporations, funds, policymakers, and other European projects.
On this occasion, we are especially happy to contact respectful EU innovation funds looking for promising startups and solutions in the blockchain scene as well as corporations interested in acqui-hiring talented developers and managers.
The event was very smooth with interesting topics and talks as well as a good set of EU Projects booths for startups and corporations to get interested in and potentially participate in their open calls, something we got a lot of interest from researchers and just launched or in the work startups.
The speakers and collaborators of the panel did a great work presenting their ideas and bringing up new and interesting concepts, the lineup was very exciting.

Our approach from the beginning was to have a “developer” standpoint on the themes and talks being discussed, therefore when we had the opportunity to talk about Internet Privacy and ignite a lot of conversation about Alexandre, NGI Pointer Architect presented his solution and was perceived as an actual potential partner.
That staggering number in such a short time frame could have been the title of the talk itself but became the main point of discussion.
Most of these sensors will be obtaining and distributing third-party data to “experience outsiders” of the user. The users and companies will not know that that data is being extracted from their everyday lives.
NGI Pointer Architec solution, EdgeSec’s “smart router virtualization” could help us control that data, and notify the users in the network for them to decide.
One interesting idea that was brought into the session that we held is how the final user (citizen) data sovereign has to be defended against third-party sensors they know or might not know that exist and that are gathering their data without consent.
“How does a webcam buyer know that just by using the thing a third party data is recording everything and storing them in low-privacy and security data centers”.

NGI Pointer Architect, Alexandre, is building Edgesec an OS virtualization for routers to understand the data that is being gathered by sensor/device if it happens and inform the final user about it and the different decisions they can apply.
Ideas that today might seem crazy but are perfectly suited to solve future problems.
