Watch the NGI POINTER webinar!

NGI Pointer’s first webinar took place last Thursday, where attendees learnt how they could become NGI Architects to transform the underlying fabric of the internet and the web.

This project is part of The Next Generation Internet (NGI) initiative that aims to transform the Internet of tomorrow into an Internet of humans that responds to people’s fundamental needs.

“Human-centric Internet is an Internet where we have more control over our digital experience, where we are able to share data in a more controlled way that protects privacy”, said Jean-Luc Dorel, Project Officer at the European Commission in DG CONNECT.

About the open call

Participants can get up to 200.000 euros to fund bottom-up, blue-sky projects, along with business and technical support during a 12-month Support Programme, explained Mirko Presser from Aarhus University.

“The individual who will be part of NGI POINTER is very important — they can be legal or natural, they can range from researchers, developers, Internet activists to startups”, said Presser.
