Impacts of Artificial Intelligence on Society

The conceptualisation of algorithms as innocuous and unbiased elements has brought to the forefront a debate on governance in cyberspace. The polarisation resulting from the lack of governance on the Internet raises a series of challenges that our expert suggests are key issues to be tackled when defining the Internet of Humans.

The lack of governance ultimately generates inequalities that respond to the particular interests of large corporations, and this underlines the need for a transversal institutional change in pursuit of a digital ethic and a transparent cybergovernance, as it happens with other key infrastructures such as roads.
