About the eventIn their efforts to tackle the COVID-19 crisis, organizations are considering the development and use of smartphone applications for contact tracing. This technology tracks down anyone who potentially might have been infected, so those contacts can be in quarantine to prevent further spread. Even though these applications differ in technology and methods, there is an increasing concern about their implications for privacy and human rights. In this webinar we will evaluate their suitability in terms of impact on the users, employed technology and governance methods.

About the speakerManuela Battaglini is a Data Ethics expert and Privacy lawyer, specialist in strategic marketing and CEO of “Transparent Internet”. She worked as a lawyer for 10 years. In 2008, she engaged with strategic digital marketing, where, for 8 years, she worked with several big organizations such as Volkswagen, Procter & Gamble, and Laboratorios Ferrer, as with many other medium sized companies, giving me the opportunity to work with worldwide famous advertising and communication agencies such DDB or Double You.

This event is free and open to the public.
